About Our Church
THE CHURCH CONSISTS of a body of baptized believers in which the Spirit of Christ dwells (1 Corinthians 3:16), and over which He rules as the supreme head (Ephesians 1:22-23; Colossians 1:18).Our Church
THE CHURCH is a congregation of people identical to those you read about in your New Testament, such as: “The church of God which is at Corinth” (1 Corinthians 1:1-2), “the churches of Galatia” (Galatians 1:2), and “the churches of Christ salute you” (Romans 16:16).
Its members are a part of the oldest church in the world because it is the original church, which had its beginning on the first Pentecost following the resurrection of Christ. Of its beginning, one can read in Acts 2:47 where, for the first time, it is said that people were added to it.
THE CHURCH MEMBERS are neither Catholic, Protestant nor Jewish, but rather simply New Testament Christians (Acts 11:26). They are thankful for the exalted privilege of membership in this blood-bought (Acts 20:28), heaven-born, Spirit-filled, and eternally purposed organism (Ephesians 3:10-11; 1 Corinthians 3:16).
To its defense we are dedicated, and to its service our lives are consecrated. It is our belief that the church of our Lord is preeminent above all humanly devised denominational churches, and that the world will be united in Christ rather than divided into the current religious parties and sects of men. To this end our lives and prayers are willingly dedicated.
Our Beliefs & Values
THE CHURCH ACCEPTS the Bible, the whole Bible, and nothing but the Bible as its all-sufficient rule of faith and practice and rejects all human creeds and human opinions as instruments of division and abominable to God (Proverbs 6:19).
THE CHURCH CONTAINS salvation for the lost (Acts 2:47; Ephesians 5:25), refuge for the wayward (Matthew 11:28-30; John 14:6), and eternal hope for those who die in its fellowship (Revelation 2:10; 14:13).
THE CHURCH HAS no creed book but the Bible (1 Peter 4:11), no captain but the Christ (Hebrews 2:10), no name but the divine (Acts 11:26; Romans 16:16), and no aim but to save (Acts 2:47).
THE CHURCH PLEADS FOR the all-sufficiency of the local church to do all of its work. for unity in Christ (John 17:20-21), for spirituality in worship (John 4:24), for purity in life (Titus 2:11-12), and New Testament authority for everything believed, taught, or practiced in religion (Colossians 3: 17).
OUR MEMBERSHIP
MEMBERSHIP IN this spiritual body is obtainable by simple obedience to the gospel of Christ. According to the Word He left for us, one must:
1. Believe in Him as the Christ (John 8:24; Romans 10:10).
2. Repent of all sins (Luke 13:3; Acts 17:30).
3. Confess faith in Christ as the Son of God (Matthew 10:32; Acts 8:37).
4. Be baptized in water for the remission of sins (Mark 16:15-16; Acts 2:38; 22:16; 1 Peter 3:21; Galatians 3:26-27).
Praise with Us!
WE CORDIALLY INVITE you to all of our assemblies, and encourage your questions about anything we do, say or believe. We have nothing to hide, and require ourselves to produce book, chapter and verse for everything we teach, believe or practice; or we will renounce it. We are determined to practice nothing else than pure New Testament Christianity (Galatians 1:8-9; 1 Peter 4:11).
… in learning more about the Bible, we invite you to call the contact number listed on our Contact Us page, and request a series of studies at a time and place convenient for you. You can also find several sermons on our site. These presentations give insight into our beliefs and how we apply the scriptural teachings to our lives.
You CAN BE SURE that this is not an offer to teach the tenets of some human creed, nor a clever way to promote some human institution. We are interested only in the study of the Word of God, and extending the borders of His Kingdom, rather than building up or multiplying sinful parties and sects (1 Corinthians 1:10). Should you want to attend one of our services, but lack transportation, please call the number on our Contact Us page. If you live within our congregation’s van service radius, we will make arrangements for someone to pick you up, bring you to our assemblies, and then take you back home following our services.
